Unique Clubs Around the World: Hand-Picked by Hugo Chetcuti’s Team

From raving atop a tree house to swaying to deep beats underwater, here are some of the most unique clubbing locations across the continents. In no particular order:

1. Inside a botanical glasshouse

WHERE: Parc Floral, Paris

Hip dance festival ‘The Peacock Society’ takes over the beautiful Parc Floral every July, with serious electronic music played by the likes of Richie Hawtin and Laurent Garnier with one of its stages being inside an enormous greenhouse that gets super steamy.

2. A temporary club inside an Icelandic Glacier

WHERE: Secret Solstice Festival pop-up party, Iceland

This year’s Secret Solstice festival in Iceland featured a party inside an Icelandic glacial cave system. Party-goers were transported to the glacier by former-NASA vehicles, where they got to explore the tunnel system before heading to a special ‘ice-rave’ cave.

3. A club inside an abandoned Japanese Metro station

WHERE: Club Metro, Kyoto

Japan is the land of the unusual, but when it comes to bars, our pick is Club Metro – a dingy underground club in the university city of Kyoto which hosts everything from avant-garde parties to live music. Metro is becoming the source of cultural trends with a strong focus on quality of music, art, attracting interesting crowds. The venue is a sectioned-off tunnel inside a still-functioning Metro station – convenient, when you need to catch the last train home.

4. At an underwater bar in the Maldives

WHERE: Subsix, The Maldives

It’s not just the house music that’s deep at this one-of-a-kind venue, accessed only by speedboat. When you get there, you descend three sets of stairs which lead you six metres underwater to the restaurant-bar, where floor-to-ceiling glass windows afford the kind of view normally restricted to scuba divers – so you’re almost literally partying with the fish! Given Hugo Chetcuti’s love for tropical Asian destinations, we reckon this is the club he’d love the most from this list.

5. In an actual tree house in Kenya

WHERE: Tree House Club, Nairobi

Nairobi’s Tree House Club is a 1000-capacity venue with a spacious dance floor in an actual tree house! This cool urban joint is perfect for sipping on an evening cocktail while you watch Nairobi traffic flow below from the terrace.

Hugo Chetcuti invites you for a night out at one of Paceville’s most popular clubs, famed for its stylish décor, mouth-watering cocktails and great location! Keep up to date on specials and events by following us on Facebook!
